My name is Tomo and I am a Japanese citizen living in Japan. I currently have an African boyfriend and through our conversations, I have come to understand how difficult Japanese can be.
According to him, Japanese is difficult to pronounce. There are pronunciation rules that are different from those of the Roman alphabet, making it difficult to learn the accents. However, he practices every day and is gaining confidence in speaking Japanese.
He is enjoying the process of learning Japanese, despite the difficulties he encounters. I believe that learning Japanese can promote cultural exchange and deepen understanding of different cultures.
